Deadpool #11 : Bullseye Part 2

“What do you want to be when you grow up?”

So here we have the second part of the three part fight between Deadpool and Bullseye (aka Hawkeye). And I really really (really) liked the last issue, it had plenty of comedy and action. But this issue went above and beyond that in almost ever way. And end poetically to the last issue.

The story opens with a radio show (Dr. Feelgood) who seems to offer the same advice towards helping people that Frasier might, but to the middle class in New York. The good doctor gets a phone call from a guy who hates his boss, but loves his job. The poor guy has been asked to kill this guy he’s wanted o kill for awhile, but now it seems that the idea is better then the act. Of course, this is Bullseye on the phone and in a slaughter house with Deadpool ready to be chopped up.

So that’s the set up, and you may ask “where do you go from there?” What we get is a bloody mess, a unique suit of armor (even for Deadpool), possibly the two best flashbacks in Marvel history regarding what Wade and Ben want to be when they grow up and (again) the incredible ending.

Way is very good at writing both of these characters and these two are made for each other because of their history. The art is beautiful, as always. I think it’s a great issue and say it should be picked up, but it’s up to you.
